Meal FAQs

How many servings is one meal?

Our meals are single servings designed to serve one person, and while it might not seem like a lot - it contains a ton of nutrional value packed in one dish! Click on any meal product for a full nutritional breakdown including the ingredients and a description. Ordering a subscription is best for those needing to feed multiple people or even if you want to stock up on meals to keep yourself prepared when hunger strikes.

Are your ingredients organic?

We source our ingredients locally and take it upon ourselves to find the best ingredients available. We value high quality food and that starts with making sure we cook with ingredients that will help to bring out the full flavor our traditional and authentic recipes embody.

What about allergens?

Our meals contain peanuts and meat, however we plan to launch vegan-friendly versions in the future to be as inclusive as possible! Click on any meal product page to view a full ingredient list and allergen statements.

We take all precautions to limit cross-contamination, but our meals are manufactured in a facility that uses egg, tree nuts, milk, fish, shellfish, soy, and wheat.

Quantity and Packing Information

How does ordering Taste Africa products online work?

Currently there are two Taste Africa frozen meal options, Gnougou-Na and Tigadegue-Na. Both are available in either 6-pack or 12-pack quantities.

Each order is specially packed in a 6-pack or 12-pack box that is custom fitted for each Taste Africa frozen food product to fit securely and comfortably. Every order includes insulated packaging that holds dry ice to keep the product at the exact temperature needed to survive transit.

Upon fulfilling each shipment, tracking information will be sent directly to the email given at checkout and will deliver between 1-3 days. It is highly recommended that your package is promptly put into the freezer upon delivery to ensure freshness and quality.

If for some reason you receive your product after 3 days*, please send us an email to info@tasteafrica.com so we can help!

*Taste Africa uses a distribution warehouse that guarantees shipment between 1-3 days depending on the delivery location. If receiving product after three days, we will need confirmation of delivery to verify the time window. If for some reason the product does not survive transit, we ask that proper documentation is provided with time stamps to compare to the delivery confirmation time.

To ensure top quality with each shipment, Taste Africa will only ship orders from Sunday to Friday - any orders made Thursday to Sunday will be held for shipment the following Monday to avoid any holdover times throughout the weekend.
